Pleasance Courtyard: Bunker Two – 2nd – 28th August

Amused Moose Award 2015 – Nominee

BBC Three’s John Hastings returns to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year with Audacity! He is performing at Bunker Two in the Pleasance Courtyard from the 2nd – 28th August at 9.15pm.

Willing to take a bold risk, John is back and ready to confront his fear of confrontation with the cheek and temerity that only the Award-winning, former vegan (briefly) Canadian can do. Talking about risks and confrontation, John is also currently in love…

John has been a stand-up since 2006, making the move to the UK after winning Canada’s COCA Comedian of the Year Award in 2012. It was a good move. John was one of the stars of BBC Three’s Sean Walsh’s Late Night Comedy Spectacular and has been comedy correspondent for BBC Radio 4 and BBC.com. Last year’s show, Integrity, was such a hit it was transferred for a Soho Theatre run in Spring 2017. His 2015 Fringe show, Marked from the Start, was nominated for the Amused Moose Best Show Award, and his 2014 show, Adventure, saw him selected to perform as part of the Best of the Edinburgh Fringe across the Australian festival circuit. John continues to be popular with critics and audiences at festivals and clubs in Australia—where he was nominated for the Martin Sims Award for Best Comedy Show at the 2015 Perth Fringe World Festival—and all over the world.

So far, 2017 has seen John Hastings star in a viral College Humour video, where he deals with heckling former basketball star Dennis Rodman at a gig in LA. It has been viewed over 95,000 times over Facebook and YouTube. Add your view here: http://www.collegehumor.com/post/7044041/dennis-rodman-heckled-a-comedian-got-hilariously-roasted

John also hosts his own podcast The Wrestler Review along with Dylan Gott where they take apart the career of a legendary (or terrible) professional wrestler. Listen here: https://soundcloud.com/wrestlerreview.
